Job Description for EFL Teacher with IELTS experience

Overview of role

EFL Teacher Required teach English as a Foreign language to students at various levels – beginner, elementary, intermediate and upper intermediate, and advanced. This will be for our IELTS preparation classes following a structured programme.

Qualification and skills required

Teachers should be appropriately qualified with:

• - A minimum of CELTA/ATT or equivalent
• - 2 years or more IELTS experience
• - A degree

Teachers must be enthusiastic, innovative and flexible in their approach.

Main duties:

• - 20 hours per week

- To assist with the administration of the written and oral tests.

- To assist with the marking of the placement tests.

- To prepare materials for lessons in an organised and timely fashion.

- To keep on file for inspection purposes all lesson plans and records of lessons taught including materials used.

- To mark and record students’ work where and when necessary.

- To keep a daily record of attendance

- To attend staff meetings when held

- To show a willingness to attend social events. (This could be one evening per week).
