Private Rent-a-Room
For long-term students the option of renting a room in one of the many local student houses can be an economical one. Derry has a high student population and many 3 - 6 bedroom houses are rented privately by landlords to students. Most are located fairly close to the school in the university district. Our accomodation officer can reccomend a number landlords that we use on a regular basis and provide expert advice insuring that you find the accomodation you require.
This type of accommodation will be only be arranged for student on request. Usually the student pays the landlord directly on a monthly basis. It is usual for the landlord to ask for one months deposit in advance to ensure the booking and cover for any breakables during the students stay. This deposit is usually returned at the end of agreement if the landlord agrees that the property is in the same condition as when the student first started. Many types of rented accommodation are furnished and include heating and electricity.

Glenview Residence is a student house situated near the City Centre with 3 single student bedrooms.
