TEFL - Teaching English as a Foreign Language

This is a full time 3 or 5 week course offering a fully accredited qualification in TEFL that is internationally recognised.

The 3 week course covers the initial 70 hour Foundation level and is ideal for those who would like to spend some time teaching English to fund travel or during a gap year, or as a "taster" for progression onto the higher qualification - the 100 hour International Certificate.

The International certificate is the minimum requirement for teaching English in any British Council or similarly accredited school. It is designed to produce a proficient EFL teacher who can confidently address the needs of an EFL c lassroom. The course is equivalent to the CELTA and also includes 6 hours of teaching practice with foreign students, live classroom observation and the preparation of teaching portfolios.
